ok, at least you admit stuff like this and lost is pretty shit but entertaining

for people to say it's the best thing on tv is very worrying though!

Well it depends what you want out of it tbh. If you're looking for realism you'll be like my mam thinking 'that wouldn't happen' all the way through. If you're watching it for the suspense and plot twists then it's spot on. I love it. Lost and 24 are also amazing if you ask me.

all i'm after is quality drama that is well written. not something that is written to make money.

lost and prison break are so bad, in my opinion, because they are made for what seems like one sole purpose, to boost advertising revenues. one rediculous cliff hanger after the next, revealing stupidly small pieces of the story at a time.

something like sopranos, 6ft under and the shield. good quality drama with witty and original scripts.

oh my god........what's guna happen after the break.....??? i need to look...oh...he's snapped his show lace. extreme example i know but you get my point.

Well I haven't seen the shield, but the sopranos and 6 ft under aren't even remotely comparable to lost or prison break. Like i said, if you're looking for realism then you're obviously not going to be in favour of lost of PB. I personally like to throw realism out of the window a lot of the time and watch it because of the plot twosts and cliff hangers. I don't think that there are only stupidly small pieces of the story revealed at a time.

The reason why lost is starting to suck is for 1 reason.. MONEY!
The writers have to drag it out to meet their contracts with ABC. They could probably do it in 2 or 3 series but it'll go on for like 5 or more..
Prison Break was only meant to be a 1 season wonder, its over the top now like but still makes fun viewing

I don't know the specifics, but why would ABC give any show a contract of 7 series when it's only up to the end of the first?

I heard that there were about 6 or 7 seasons planned before season 2 had started.
