    Premiership TV rights

The EU has managed to force the FA and Sky to change the new tv deal as it contravened the rules on price fixing.

From next season Sky has to all agreed to sell 6-8 games to another broadcaster, and the for the next deal to come up 4 tender there has to be at least 2 main broadcasters.

Hmmm i heard this on the radio last night... I think sky will be a little pissed off they haven't got the exclusive rights which they paid for - do you think they will try to reduce the money they have to pay, if so how much by and what affect will this have on clubs income (TV money being the major part of this)... also will the other broadcasters get first pick over the matches they show???

The three year deal that starts next season is being kept the same except sky have to sell one of the packages. They are still paying the same to the FA but will try and make as much money for that package.

With the next deal i can see alot less money being offered by Sky as it will not be exclusive rights any more
