    Many on here play?

Im a regular on partpoker.com but i hate playing online. Was thinking about playing some of these tournaments at aspers and grosvenor casino. Does anyone know if they are any good.

Grosvenor aparently host your poker games if you get the people together. Supply you with the chips and a dealer. sounds well good

ive never played live games in casinos before, only with friends. Is it a really stuck up professional atmosphere, cos thats the only thing that is stopping me play. I was thinking about playing the grosvenor one tonight £5 + £2 with buyins. Also there is a £1000 winner take all freeroll at aspers on wednesday.

I dont wanna go if there is gonna be loads of professional 'who does this amateur think he is' type players there.

nah that doesnt happen like, not on the £20 freezeouts anyway. U do get the odd phil hellmuth wannabe but that just makes it all the sweeter when u take all their chips head2head

seen it anywhere from 150-300 people. wouldnt say it was easy to make the final table but the money is split over top 10 with 48%ish goin to the winner. its a really good night on a friday.

Its awful that site!! So slow and all the fancy graphics/emotes detract from concentrating on the actual game of poker!

pokerstars is by far the best site some great comps on there like the poker million every week! I have a healthy profit on there too :D

Used to play on Crypto William Hill but the comps are too few and far between...

Aye PKR can be slow and they do sometimes have some problems but i'd disagree with the graphics etc detracting from the game. they have the opposite effect for me. it makes it feel that bit more realistic and not so much of a computer game.

I've heard good things bout pokerstars like.

    Spose its personal preference...

Its hard enough to get a read from online players as it is so I prefer as few distractions as possible to the point where i even disable player images.

All I got is the table, the chips and cards so I can concentrate on the timer and betting patterns of players as much as possible.

Only bad thing about stars is the time difference if you wanna do well in the big multis you have to be prepared to play into the early hours of the morning...

The poker mil each week takes about 8 hours of play assuming you make it to final table or thereabouts!
(You need to sleep during the day to make it through that one!)
