Class video, but I'm far too cool these days for Pioneer gear. It's all starting to look a little too Fisher Price for me.

Ironically, all the people who insist on Pioneer kit to the exclusion of anything else, the trance scene, make almost embarrassingly little use of all the features of these things - Other genres are the ones who are doing live remixing and production. Crazy skills.

Allen & Heath forever baby ;)

I got a DB2 a month or so ago, and a Xone K2 to go with it (And some monitors). The X-Link and USB functionality is quite brilliant.

At the moment the whole setup is functioning as the worlds most expensive PC soundcard, but the few goes I've had on it have been tip top.

I see what everyone says about the A&H sound quality now, and the efx make the pioneer ones sound like a joke.

On the flip side, Pioneer gear is easy to pick up and learn, compared to the Xone DB2 and DB4 where the slightest incorrect button press results in silence coming out of every channel.

I found that out the hard way last night when the pub's jock let me have a shot last night at work

that nexus looks cool, anything with any kind of live editing like that is amazing. however i'm guessing it's going to be 9 grand and only available to people with large cool hair with friends who sing over dubstep.

Aye, Matrix inputs are a bitch if you forget which channel is which

Not far off, just under 2000 coins of the realm is the asking price....

2000 quid just to use two channel faders and the occasional flanger efx when you get bored.

At these price points (5 grand to get a pioneer setup) you have to start thinking like an actual BAND (or a DJ who can actually perform) to justify the outlay on kit like that.

    Nuts.
