Picotto,Fergie & Eddie Are these the most loved & yet @ the same time disliked Djs? It seems trance fans have problems with these Djs.
Re: Picotto,Fergie & Eddie I thought it was Judge Jules that was voted the greatest/worst DJ a couple of years back..
i dont have a problem with any of them.... eddie is loved in the North east. Picotto is a good techno dj, and fergie....errr.....dunno, i havent heard him play in ages. he was good 4 years ago when he played HH tho...
i like them all myself, but i know what u mean, theres alot of mixed opinions, people either love or hate them
Picoto and Eddie do generate intense feelings amont fans/non fans, especially Picotto. I've not heard anything from Fergie since he was last at promise for his "ill hour" set, no idea what he's playin at present.
Re: Re: Picotto,Fergie & Eddie The thing with Jules, is he like St Peter. St Peter stands @ the gateway to heaven, Jules is on duty @ the gateway to clubland. Once we get past them, we are in, but they remain on the outside looking in. They have important roles but they not part of the main gig.
There successful, not my cup of tea at all though. I think Jules is a different story though - he's cashed in on the commercial side of things every way possible and then has the cheek to criticise the MOST WANTED for high fees.
some people seem to have a problem with DJ's changing there style, they seem to think if they started out playing one kind of music, thats all they should play! and turn there noses up when DJ's start to play different styles, and that seems to be a big factor with all the DJ's mention before...
Music he plays is shite, my opinion anyway it just doesn't appeal to me at al!! Although i've only heard him a couple times like, but when i've heard him, he's been shite, music!!
i think in eddies case its because his sets are all muddled up , i like al styles so dont mind it, but he could play a whole techno set then all of a sudden drop a hard house tune in, not everyones cuppa
With Eddie it's a bandwagon! And I also agree with Pete about people not liking DJ's who change their styles. Especially in trance circles. Typically trance fans have narrow-minded musical taste...if it ain't trance they don't like it (I know not everyone is like this).
Fergie is class, some of the stuff he’s playing at the moment is amazing. Picotto is also class, one of the best all time producers IMO. Eddies done nowt, fair enough he works hard but I’ve only ever enjoyed one of his sets out of the 9 or 10 times I’ve seen him
it wudnt be too bad if he stuck to a style for that set, then maybe changed his style the next week, but ive got an essential mix by him and all of a sudden red snapper comes out of nowhere
I don't remember enough of anyones sets to form any opinion other than "I've had a great night". Hope this doesn't mean I'm shallow.
no its the best way mate, go out and have a good night i agree with jimmy too picotto is a legend, hes made some amazing productions
All of his productions are flawless, I wont or wouldn't have played all of them but they're all different from the norm New Time New Place has been getting a caining for months from me now
