Paintballing I've never been but it's my birthday next month and I really fancy it, despite the shitty cold weather and horrendous winds atm. Where's the best place to go around the Newcastle area? Also, what's the crack with buying paintballs? Do you have to buy them from the place you're at or can you/is it cheaper to buy them beforehand? Looking for an average price per head here so I can tell people. Tickets are available dirt cheap so I just need to know how much it will cost for a decent supply of ammo really
Re: Paintballing There is one in winlaton dude, i think you get so many for entry then pay so much for extra ones (which you will obviously need). Ask Marc, he's been
Dont buy them before you go in. They only charge like £7-8 per 100 and depending whether you think your SAS or Rambo will define how many balls you will use. Try and buy from these places as it helps keep them open. P.S. Wear gloves, it doesn't half fucking smart when you get hit on your itchy trigger finger! P.P.S. It's really good fun.
I think I'd save the rambo either for the end, or if i seen a golden chance to hammer someone How many balls do you reckon is enough? And how long do you usually play for or is it a set number of games or something?
You normally have a minimum number of games, say 8no but sometimes if the group is still upto it they may let you do more. I try and base myself on 100no max per game, but as you said getting the chance to maul someone is golden. I emptied 100no on my mate once. I shot him in the back from about 50mtr, right between the shoulder blades and a total fluke in truth. I ran over while he was rolling around in pain and shot the shit out of him. Great fun. However, try and get decent masks. the last time i went i shot someone in the very first game and started laughing my head off. My masked steamed up, i couldnt clear it and i got hit so many times. The mental scarring still hasn't cleared.
take 150quid, that just about saw me through the day, it hurts like fuck but its a proper laugh, change of clothes, and dont play on a comedown/hangover
There is a place near Cramlington that i went to, was a class day out like, was knackered by the end of the day, doesn't take long for people to get into soldier mode either
