    Outdoor events

With the likes of GCSSS,GKGG,Creamfields,Homelands,Etc,why are they all focused on the south?Theres nothing up here for us or north of Humber, unless u wanna go to Metro FMs gig!!

I mean its unfair that we all have to travel hundreds of miles if we wanna go to one,( i know Creamfields is in liverpool but its still far away)why cant some club promoters organise a couple of events up here, theres a nice big open countrysode sitting there doing fuckall for christ sake, waiting to be jumped up and down on by a lot of kids.

i know godskitchen and cream and others have had events @ the arena, but its not the same.Shindigs outdoor bash @ Baltic was good but it was small.Fuck sake give people what they want, and if people voice their opinion there voice will be heard by the council.

This really gets to me,and just goes to show the north/south divide.

you obviously didn't read the chronicle last night then? Simon E did an article all about that last night saying it was mainly to do with the powers that be and the fact that they are twats!

I bore the tits off people on this very subject. It's primarily down to bigotted council opinion and mis-informed locals, working on shite infomation they read in the Sun 15 years ago (or the Chronicle last week).

The reaction to the Love Parade is a case in point - Heroin Addicts to decend on Jesmond? for fucks sake get a brain cell you twats.

I think Simon E should use and abuse his Chronicle powers to start a petition of some sort, if enough names can be gathered then maybe the council will pay some attention! After all we are meant to be making a city for culture bid, and Music is a huge part of ours!!!!!
