newcastle based companies!!! know this mite qualify for being the most boring and unentertaining thread ever to be made on this board but am just doin this one behalf of a certain good friend of mine cos they're doin marketing at uni and hav to find a company to hav their placement year in and this person doesnt wanna leave newcastle so has been lookin on the net for big newcastle based companies to gt a placement with but there doesnt seem to be that many , just wondered if any of u luvli gorgeous helpful and wonderful msg board people knew of any at all, all suggestions very much welcome fank ooo!! xxx

My missus works for The Design Group in Gosforth and they seem to be expanding and doing really well. I'm sure that would be a good place to do marketing. They do all the design work for major companies and brands like cadburys, bosch, hugo boss, pringles, persil .... etc .... etc.... Could get the details if you like. All the marketing done where I work is donw abroad.

Have a look on www.applegate.co.uk (think thats the addy) Its an online business directory and you can search for the type of company and location. Theres also www.yell.com And try some search engines like google, yahoo etc Theyre normally pretty good. I have to get my own leads for my telesales calls and use all of the above and get loads of stuff off them
