New Trance Track From Me Been ages since i made anything so finally got this finished today. Its not my best track by any means but i wanted to make a trance track that was a little more subtle than most, with plenty of intertwining melodies instead of something more in your face. glad u like it mate dont have a website atm tho i am slowly working on it. in the mean time heres a couple of older tracks i've done David Deep - On Reflection 2005 This is a more proggy trance track with a real etheral feel to it. Mike Upton - Skyscape And that one is a little older and was never really fully finished (i tend to do that a lot lol) but its not far off and is another piano drenched track.
nice to start with, track needs a-b testing i feel the bass sounds horrible on headphones needs better eqing, sounds good on my speakers though. Good use more fills at ends of patterns to get the track intereesting and moving along. Break down is class really lush sounding, the third chord change when kicks in after third break sounds a bit fruity, might just be my ears though cause its late. All the melodies flow nice together but they could do with separating a little they're all taking up the same space in the mix. use eq, effects, compression and panning to address this issue. percs sound nice could maybe do with a little more to fill out the track, but thats just my opinion if you like it like that then thats sweet. Overall nice track some good elements but needs those added elements to keep it interesting till the end.
yeah i pretty much agree with everything uve said there i didnt spend much time adding extra fills and little fx which make a track more interesting cuz im useless at that lol. Bass is a bit poor overall, tho it sounds fine on both my speakers and headphones here. i've already done some stuff with the percs and will have a bash at seperating the leads from each other. had a listen to the second one of the others it had the same sort of problems, except the perc on that one is really interesting, quite original good stuff on that.
hehe yeah percs were a bit strange on that one. I guess the reason it has the same problems is because technically im not all that great at eqing and mastering. i tend to be better at creating melodies and complementing them well together. And Blakey i'll never top Oasis, that was just a fluke
not bad at all Mike, sounds very Anjunabeats'ish around the 5.50 mark! which isnt a bad thing good to see you coming out with more decent stuff. As Blakey said, will be hard to top Oasis
