    MR C @ WHQ review

It was 8:30 when we left the house and here i am typing this up at 4am the next morning? Am i sad-maybe. Am i happy i went? Certainly! So the evening began drinks from various downtown shitholes....The Union at Newcastle Uni..from there the beautiful Pacific with its array of lights and decor....and from there a contrasting location to the previous one, know only as the Mushroom Bar....The DJ played some crap music and then we left (without the famous Guinness Paddy Hat....Gutted) Walked from the Mushroom Bar staright to WHQ. No stopping to check out women...no stopping for another drink! Just straight there becasue we knew that Mr C was playing and from what we heard Mr C doesnt dissapoint.

Arrived at the door, No Que, handed in jackets and bolted upstairs to find the dancefloor terrifyingly empty. The site of an empty club at 11 scares me....it usually means that it will be empty most of the night. Im happy i was wrong...Slowly the number of bodies on the dancefloor starting building. The occasioanl skit from some girls and a bit of self confidence drove the mass of 150 people to the dancefloor. The first Dj Ali started out with some dark electro followed by a few classics and hard techo. Mr C continued from where Ali left off. Building the pace, the beats, the mixing , the snares...everything was perfect.

People were smiling, laughing and having the best night of their lives. The promoters didnt seem to happy with the small number of bodies...but to us..that didnt matter. Here we bumped into Slecetajay and Gareth...who seemed to be having a blast.

Therest is almsot a blur...But ill finish with the words of Mr C
"Go to your fuvcking MP and tell them to change the closing times
!!!! look at the rest of Europe open till 9AM!!!!!' Comne on!!!!!

Fine words they were at that! A true DJ, someone who came across as genuine who loved what he did and drew hisn energy from the people getting freaky on the dancefloor.

Rating: 11/10 One of the best nights this year.

    Peace!

Aye, quality night. Mr. C was pure class and was sound as fuck when we interviewed him.

I would go as far as saying it was one of the best interviews I've ever heard let alone done!

There wasn't many people there but there was definitely enough.

I was too pissed to notice anyway.
