    Martyrs

Just watched this French film this afternoon, probably some of the most disturbing cinema I've ever seen. Absolutley awful, 100% uncomfortable and daunting 100% of the time. Quality.

Watched this about 8 months ago... and was pretty disturbed by it..
No subs so I had no idea what was going on...

Everyone raves on about it... empire gave it 5 out of 5 and its been given a few awards... but I just dont like it.

If you like gore... you'll need a tissue or 2 tho..

I'd imagine that the explaination the subs would provide would make you enjoy the film a lot more if you were to get a grip and watch it with them included, outrageous comment.

Granted it had no subs but whats outrageous about having a, somewhat one-sided, opinion?

The graphic nature of the film disturbed me..

As for the tissue comment... people who go see "gore" films like Hostel and Saw will explode in their pants.. I think thats a fair comment given the content of the film.

I'll watch again with subs... I fucking hope I don't come crawling back here...

I thought they were both shit

Loved martyrs though, actually genuinely disturbing and not hammed up hollywood shite

The french and the japanese seem to make miles better horror films than anyone else

well for a start you were only getting one side of the film, the visual part. if you could understand the dialog you'd understand how good it actually was :)
