Man, 30, dies at organised rave

A man has died after an organised rave at the Magna Centre, South Yorkshire.
The 30-year-old from Lancashire was taken to Rotherham District Hospital at 0500 BST on Sunday after he had a fit.He died shortly after arriving.

A post-mortem examination is due to be carried out on Tuesday, and police say they are treating his death as suspicious.

South Yorkshire Police are appealing for anyone who saw the man before he became unwell to contact them.

Not trying to b a bitch but the person who died had probably died after having 20 pills 5 grams of speed and 5 grams of coke! There was loads of police there when we were coming down writing down everybodys number plates and description of cars, queues were massive to get out! I saw paramedics running into main arena with a stretched at bout 4 ish i think!

you can't always say that tho...

you can have a bad reaction to something or something else may have caused the fit.

i think i'll wait until i hear anything for certain before i start slating him - altho i know where you are coming from as at both of the tidy weekenders i have been to there has been a steady supply of casualties to the first aid room.

i left at 5 too so all of this would have happened after id left too, its a shame but i hope it doesn't effect any further events their because it was one of the best times ive had.

Yeh ur right there could have been anything! But if he had a fit its most likely to be drug related and most likely tro be overdose but.... I could be wrong

how most likely? Just becuase its in a club doesnt make drugs the most likely offender, let alone an overdose. People shouldnt jump to any conclusions until the facts are known... u dont know the facts, so dont jump to conclusions.

one person died out of all them people, i doubt itll just be down to the strobes mate, but thats my opinion

iamian is saying that it could possibly be one or more of a number of things, whereas jess said its more likely to be drugs... therefore one is suggesting possiblities, the other is assuming it was drugs. It may well have been, but no one is in a position to say what it was more than likely to have been, unless you know the individual in question of course.

all have had people complaining about the intensity of the strobes after the events.

death isn't the only outcome after a fit, i've heard from a fair few people that they had them, or 'mini fits' and it was when the strobes where being used a lot.

i'm not saying it was the strobes, but i just said that they are well know for having problems with them.

but then again they are also well known for having problems with the amount of people having to go to the 1st aid room in a mess too.

and even if 'just one person' out of all them people died that is still one too many in my eyes.

but if you read after, she posted again agreeing that it could be anything and that she might not be right, therefor she corrected her mistake and wasnt jumping to conclusions, just having her opinion like we all are

read what i said, i didnt once say that because only one person died its not bad, its terrible and shouldn't happen at any sort of events. And im only having my opinion like you are, it could well be the fact that it was the strobes, but nothing more has been said on the matter at the moment. But because someone else has a differant opinion doesnt mean that they have to be singled out, which is why i pointed out the fact she had covered his original post up chill

To be fair tho we all know what goes on at events and ALOT of people there had taken alot of drugs by the view of things im aware it could have been anything, they could have been disabled they could have fallen over and hit their head or strobes cud have been too much! But i think it would have been more likely drugs in my opinion
