As I understand it the bloke couldn't afford to raise his child so he put it in an orphanage, he told madonna the story of how it broke his heart to give away his child - but he simply couldn't afford to raise it. Madonna being the selfless angel that she is decided to adopt the child and give the father enough money to live.... surely the right thing would of been to give the father enough money to raise his own child?!?!? all loaded celebs should sponsor a kid ! theyve got the cash so give it to wear its needed ! but greed dictates them all and she blatantly needed the publicity

As much as saving a child from an orphanage stands alone as a gracious act - She might do better to give some of her hundreds of millions to supporting some of these people through a charity, instead of taking one of them away from their country in order to be raised as 'madonnas former orphanage child'. He might have a life free from the risk of death at an early age or whatnot - but to become what instead? The next Peaches Geldof? Leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

It seems to me that adopting a baby is some sort of fashion statement Take Angelina credit to her she takes her 2 adopted children back to there homelands on regular occasions the quality of life Madonna's adopted son will have will be an amazing one that only ££ could buy but why doesnt she invest some of her millions in building 3 or 4 schools in Malawi <even though she has donated quite a bit to the orphanage> i feel its morally wrong the way shes gone about it
I find it strange that she didn't collect the child herself. Having it brought back by an employee seems a little cold-hearted and uncaring.
Exactly..... It will be put in the play room/nursery like a trophy on a mantlepiece..... Someone else will look after it and bring it up unless Madge fancies a photoshoot shopping with it all for a front cover on Heat magazine....
I must point out that she did also donate £2million towards orphanages in the country as well as buying herself a publicity stunt . I still think helping the family i.e. the father as well as the child would have been the right thing to do rather than going for the whole glorificated adoption of a poor helpless blah blah blah . etc !
