Laser?

hhhmmm...liked the laser loads but not sure bout all the questions ur askin cos i wasnt really in a fit state to take lotsa notice but i fink that perhaps two wud have been better im presuming that there was only one, at the right ov the stage (or have i got that wrong..??) or is there only meant to be one???? im thinkin mebbes it wud av bin gud in the middle of the stage but then would people maybe get blinded if it was shining directly at em..??? but then that would be the case i suppose wherever it was.... okay so i think i am talking major amounts ov crap here so i fink its time for me to shut up!! xxx

i think 2 lasers would be top notch but loads of smoke as well to maek it ded dramatic.. liked the patterns tho and it was on about the right amount of time.

Do you think that if we have one it should be in the middle or on other side of the stage? Yep, but two would be much better.

Do you think it was on too much? Yep, When it first came on it was wow - a lazer... after the 50th time it isn't quite as special... it should be used like a lazer and used at the right time to build on the atmosphere.... think an over used lazer is as annoying as an overused strobe - it gets cheesey

Do you think it was on too little? Nooooo

Do you think that the normal lights (scans) should be off/on when the laser is on? depends on the moment

I personally think the lazer was erm a little weak... We're used to the Godskitchen, Crasher, Slinky type lazers and the promise one just seemed well puny.

Don't get me wrong I fooking loved it and it really added to the atmosphere - but I think 2 lazers or a much powerfuller lazer which is used sparsley would be much better

I think I'd go for one big one over two puny ones... but think the best sollution would be two medium lasers.... I thinka huge crasher/gk aser would be too much for our little club... but two inbetweeneys would really be summit

The laser was mint! but like SmartE it did look a wee bit puny in comparison to (I'm gonna have to swear here sorry Mark) for example, the ones at GK. *aaargh now I feel like a right ungrateful bastard for begging for lazers for weeks and criticising now that we got one*

but two more powerful ones either side would be the dogz bollox, and with a smoke machine un all, that would be wikkid!

I'm gonna put me reputation on the line here, but I went to Ikon once ages ago, and they had this truly beautiful thing, I can hardly describe it though, was like a bright white sort of wall of light, but it was all shimmery with patterns in it. Honest I really really did see it, dunno how they do it though but it was totally lush.

Are these lasers and smoke machines ded expensive? Do foundation put them in or do yo have to hire them for the night?

the laser on fri was a vast improvement over not havin one, well done.

i reckon like smarte that 2 medium lasers at either side would be a lot better tho. 1 big laser wud b good but for it 2 be seen to full effect it would be better in the middle, but then wouldnt that big pillar thats in the way cause problems???
also imo it wud be better to use the laser a little less often n leave it till later in the night, as this way people remain far more appreciative and impressed by it.

SeniorChemSi - i think im in this much of a radgy (hhhmm not sure if i've spelt that rite) mood cos its luverly weather and it alwayz makes me hyper!! actually i've just looked out of the window now n the weather isnt even that nice anymore...hmmmm but its nearly the summer anyway plus im lookin forward to seein all my friends n that when i go home on sat sooo im goin slightly hyper today!!! xxx sorry if im doin everyones heads in !!!

Tis true tho, i used to work in majestik's (leeds version of ikon) and my god are the effects wicked, i remember once i got the dj to play Nightmare - Brainbug and they had lightning effects in time to the music and loads of lazers and patterns and all sorts! Was soo good, u can get totally lost in it! *memories*

But the carpets did smell of poo and people were sick lots!

Another thing thatd be good is a bubble machine like sugarshack, makes u go all tingly to see thousands of bubbles floating down from the ceiling at the end of the night (dont think its suit promise tho)

ikon did used to have a good laser too...or was it the ritzy then....when robert miles children came on it used to do patterns of children playing...i think? lol (was ages ago of course) thursday night foam parties

I love it when the laser hits a mirroe ball and it splits up into hundreds of little dots all round the club!

deffo think the lazer made the club seem much better...i actually thought foundation looked nice for once instead of just bein all dark! thumbs up to the lazer

i much prefered promise with a laser. But if you are only going to use 1 i would put it in the middle. Personally i would go for two medium strength lasers at each side, not as strong as GK etc as foundation is a smaller club. But i think a laser each side would be mint!
