    i have just had a phone call telling me the hotel/apartments me and mick were due to stay in no longer have anything to do with 18-30's and that we have been moved to Hotel Del Mar ?

    Has anyone stayed there b4 or know how far it is away from stuff?

    were you booked as 'on allocation' ... or did you book for a specific hotel?

    You might be able to demand a refund if the new place is rubbish.

    Poppa hawkins is on it! he booked the holiday through a travel agent he does some work for in gosforth so i've told him to play war..

    I think i stayed there when i was 18/19! I'm sure it wasn't called Hotel Del Mar II though, maybe i stayed at version 1!

    Where i stayed was ok as a base... i was never there much anyway so wasn't too bothered. It's right next to the West End :lol:

    When you booked you payed for that hotel, if they need to change hotel you should be compensated in some way

    i know, it was the cheapest tho and everywhere else i went didn't have a fortnight for the time we wanted to go :(

    they are busy looking for an alternative for us :up:, they said it shouldn't be a problem finding somewhere

    they should offer you a similar or better accomodation as its not your fault that its stopped trading as a 18-30 hotel

    you might have had a lucky escape the hotel you were supposed to stay in, has now ceased to be an 18-30's hotel? so there must have been a reason for this, probably because it was a scat den!!!
