London doesn't have a 'city centre'. There's a shitload of 'city centres' here.

before it was made up of lots of 'city centres' I guess.

London City is actually only W1's square mile, the remainder is still classed as town.

If you want Centre Moi, there is a decent cheep hotel just behind Picadilly cntre.

That's bollocks. The square mile is in and around EC2 and EC3.

W1 is Oxford Street and the West End, not the City.

If you're going to attempt to argue with someone that actually lives in London, you might want to do your research first.

    You'd probably be safer too.

Where you planning on going when you are down? If you don't mind the journey in, there are plenty of travelodges etc out near Canary Wharf etc.

I always thought that The City of London was the Square Mile, then you had the City Of Westminster (Parliament, Hyde Park, Buckingham Palace etc) and everything outside of those is Greater London

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Hotels London

There are two cities, Westmisnter and London.

The City runs postally from W1 to EC2.

I'd say the city centre of London runs from from Paddington, Victoria and Marble Arch in the west to Old St, Liverpool St and Fenchurch St in the east, with Euston Rd running across the north..

Euston Road from Kings Cross to Marlyebone is a pretty good dividing line between the North and the Centre.
