    headphones....

needing advice... i ordered a pair of sony mdr v700 headphones from juno but got a phonecall today saying theyre currently out of stock, and will take a few days to arrive. i was talkin to jon love bowt them and he reckons these headphones are dodgy, as he always gets returns back to his shop and they rarely last longer than a few months. hes trying to sell me some stantons or sennheisers (not sure what models) for about the same price as these are 'much better'.

he could just be trying to get me to buy them from his shop tho, i really like the sonys and have never had probs when using other peoples, but also dont want to spend £100 on phones that will break in a few month.

    help please????? :)

Get Sennheiser HD25s- Had mine for a while now and not had any bother.
I know a few people with sony ones that broke within 6 months

The Sony's are a bit shit IMO. I don't think their sound quality is anything remotely ground-breaking, and they don't last five minutes.

The HD25s are good cans, but they're a little small. Check the Pioneer HDJ1000s :)

yeh think its the hd25s he was on about, my last pair were sennheiser too (again dunno wot model, im shit with numbers :p ) but they only cost 40-50 quid and lasted a couple of years with no probs. think ill ring them and cancel the order then, then shop around a bit b4 deciding. cheers :D

My sonys have just broken. But they are being replaced. I would have still bought another pair of sonys i think, i really like them. It just depends on the individual ,adn what you get used to.

the hdjs break quicker than the mdrs, gibbo got some hdjs a couple month ago, the cord has fucked and the mono stereo switch has broke.

the headband also moves all over the place if u move even slightly

This is true, the Sens do the same aswell, Miks technics headphones are OK but I prefer my Sony's.
