Disc one is expertly put together by Jupe, with a style and flair that has not been seen on the hard house scene in a long while. Flawless mixing and an excellent track selection makes the whole listening experience a journey, capturing your attention straight from the start and not letting go. Feature tracks on the discs include Justin Bourne and Dynamic Interventions superb remix of Kick Ass Elements, James Searles seriously bassline driven Paranoid, Nick Sentience’s infectiously catchy Act Of God remix and Vicious Circles own dark destroyer Paul Glazby’s remix of the track that led the label to the big leagues Release The Freak. Disc 2 is nothing short of an all out assault and is hammered to you courtesy of Marc Johnson. The style is brutal, in your face and harder than bread left out for a month! Starting with the deviously melodic Can You Feel It? the mood instantly changes at the first bass swap and you are left gritting your teeth and digging your nails into the arms of your chair. From there on it doesn’t get any lighter… Huje basslines dominate this entire disc, and the pace definitely isn’t for the faint hearted. Marc raises some of the classic releases such as the Justin Bourne remix of Great Responsibility and the non stop Defective Audio remix of Negotiation which made the label so profound in the first place, to demonstrate why flashpoint are one of the heavy hitters!
