Over the last few weeks I have played along side

Live Piano
Live Sax
Live Bass guitar
Live bongo's

played over everything from chillout/hip hop/funk/motown/house/breaks

you can really get into it. you have to give credit the the live lads, they can add so much to already great music.

Agora rocks most nights with one or a combination of the above.

we have live funk all night Friday

but what about djing with live vocalists

I got the only way is up from a car boot sale with a load of early acid type stuff on ten records a few years back.

Never knew coldcut produced it !

Is this as in a Funk band (bass's, drums, trumpets, horns etc)?

Will prob pop down on friday if it is, coz l aint been in yet

I own a copy of 'The Only Way Is Up', two copies of 'Fine Time' and some other thing by her with a Juan Atkins and Roger Sanchez mix.

I feel dirty...

heard reports of dj's getting very annoyed with dodgey bongo players throwing their beatmatching all over the place though

Jp has re edited loads of old tracks to extend them so the lads can give it some

they aint pioneers thats for sure bit of a mixing test. JP struggles
