    happy birthday!

wasn't @ crasher myself but can understand that if the line up was tiesto, hardwick and halliwell, you would have certainly had a good night!

what a night, i wish i had gone to bed or summit on friday tho cos i didnt even have enough energy to go to the bar and get an aftershock on sat let alone dance for more than 10mins at a time!

talla was brill, matt hardwick was amazing!!wow!!

tiesto was class, but in a techno/proggy way, which is never as good as when he was class in a trance way.eddie was ok, but no where near as good as friday!

I thought it was a very average night...probably the worst night, musically, that I have been to at Gatecrasher.
Matt was very good, he played an interesting set, varying his style and built it up very well.
Talla...played some good tunes but didn't have any set structure. One minute is was hard as owt, then melodic...then hard....he didn't mix too good, wasn't beat matching much at all. He had the bass far too high...when he played No Signs Of Life - Airfire feat Talla, he had the bass so high that you couldn't hear the mid and high range sound, something which is important when playing melodic trance.
Tiesto - thought that he was gonna be good when he started with Magik Journey, but what a disappointment...his set was bland and not uplifting at all.
Halliwell - he was ok but I thought that he became a bit monotonous. It's the first time I've heard him play, but soon got fed up with his back spinning out of tunes and badly beat matching. As Technofish would say...a big nose bedroom DJ....IMO...he wasn't classy enough for Gatecrasher.

All my mates said halliwell wasn't his usual self at crasher... He was outstanding at promise though

Crasher was average, but a average night at Crasher is still a excellent night.

Talla was good but no structure but thats the way he plays he is the German Jules...... about his mixing......also like Judge Jules, hes just drops them in thick and fast, mixing has never really bothered me tho as long as the tunes r right.

I thought Tiesto was alright, He got a great reception (Iv only sen PVD get a better one). I was shocked when he droped "Awesome!!" by Picotto. (WTF!)

Matt Hardwick class but why wasnt he on at 4 instead of Scalliwell??

Looks like the bubble has burst for Promise's favorite DJ anyway :s The Crasher crowd know what makes a DJ!!! http://www.gatecrasher-forum.com/cgi-bin/forum/ikonboard.cgi?s=3c96412d6e2bffff;act=ST;f=1;t=11507

The crasher crowd no what makes a DJ?!?!?

The crasher crowd have more fad's than a fucking 13 year old school girl on account of thats what half them are!

I never have and never will seek DJ advice off crasher kids they're far to worried about what their crasher friends will think of them to speak their mind... impressionable fuck witts.

Eddie Halliwell is, however much you whinge about it an amazing DJ, he moved the promise crowd on friday like no other DJ has done... But you wouldn't know - you was being petty and stopping in :p

I think crasher did make a mistake making him ressie as I think hearing him scratch every week would do my tits in.... He's a DJ you hear once in a while.

Unlike DJ's like armin he's being orriginal innovative and bring something new to trance... Armin is just following in the footsteps of PVD in my eyes.. he bring nothing new to trance... he's just good at what he does - eddie is bringing somehting new he's fusing hard house with trance, he's cutting and scratching, he's trying to do something different and despite your whinging he's succeeding - he's a resident at four of britains top clubs: crasher, garlands, sundis, goodgreef.... Piss poor hard house dj's don't get that recognition.

he's only played 3/4 times since becoming ressie tho aint he, ive seen most of them and generally they have been shite!!he does mostly play crappy hard stuff, he does his tricks and that which are amazing, but still dont make the noise over appealing!!

then he randomly goes into brill mode again!!on saterday we only got 2 songs worth(punk then eternal)but he's nowhere near as good as he was before he was ressie and as good as the amazinment he was at promise!!

Since when were Garlands, SunnyD and Goodgreef four of Britains top club nights? Talking of fuck wits...hard house attracts a lot of 'em.
