Found some Zabelia ones on the Renaissance website called 'MadStuff' ... thats all about the EFx box  ... i remember a while ago there was a 'top down view' showcasing the CDJ1000 Mk2 (i think) with no voice over and a fixed camera angle - looked like Pioneer had done it... just showed all the features ...

im not a fan of the way zabiela scratches, he puts on that cut up effect on the efx unit, part of the technique is the cross fader action i think.
if he does that too then fair play i've just never seen him do it :)

These days he mostly does scratching proper style but previously he was using the Transform effect on the EFX500...for that you dont need to touch the xfader and it is blatantly cheating

Cheating works fine for me though

    loads of stuff

If i want the proper scratch effect I use 'Fresh' or 'Aaaahhhh' but for different kinds of sounding I can make a very small loop of a vocal and use that or even just use a Beep and loop that very fast.

Just depends on what sound you want at that time

I can send you the Fresh and Aaahh samples if you want

If you have a CDJ with a 100% pitch , a cheating way of scratching without an EFX is to get a Aaaahhh sample , assign your cue to it and bash the Cue rhymically while moving your pitch up and down in time to the Cue Bashing and ending the "scratch" on a down movement

Make sure Master Tempo is turned off
