CD Decks? wouldnt mind buying some but dont know which ones to get don want to spend to much but dont want to spend too little and get crap Anyone suggest some some want to spend about £600 or below on 2 decks n mixer
New Technics are okay ... But the ones that i say rule the roost are PIONEER CDJ1000MK2'S .. Bit pricey though .. around 680 per deck ... their worth it though .. I dont know about others but im sure that someone on the board will
depends on ur price range, if ur looking at the lower end u can't go wrong with the denon 1000. impressed me anyway.
the new denon dns-1000 is simply incredible and about 350 quid. If your on a budget i'd get that one m8. Denon have easily the best cdj's out right now imo - Pioneers are obviously the club standard but if you cant afford a cdj800 or 1000mk2 then the next port of call is a denon in my books.
It's all well and good suggesting CDJ1000mk2's and Denon0100 decks but £600 aint gona get him two of those and a mixer This is a very good package for the dosh: http://www.decks.co.uk/products/packages/cd_intermediate/axis9_dm1002_kit Axis9 decks have had very good reviews, I remember using the Axis8 and being very impressed. And at only £550, you still have change too. To be fair, that's all you need - excellent stuff for the money. Much better value than the CDJ100s, you get loops etc on these. EDIT - Didnt realise the pic was so big
for 600 quid you could get a dns5000 and play 2 tunes from the same CD into different outputs Seriously though, it aint worth buying the cheaper stuff for only a hundred quid or so from being able to buy the quality kit - For an extra ton you could buy a cheapo mixer from ebay in the meantime, and get 2 x denon 1000's or cdj800's. I dropped 500 quid on my first decks and mixer about 4 years ago and the stuff wasnt even worth a quarter of that by the time i sold it. Also, at least by buying the lower end top brand kit, you learn how to use the top end stuff since everything is laid out and feels the same. I know everyone hasnt got the funds to do that but ive had my fingers burned buying cheaper stuff before.
so thats £800 before a mixer Slightly out of the £600 budget innit I have noticed on every thread like this, ever, someone will ask for a specific budget and only one or two replies in the whole thread will be within budget "Well, THIS package is £20,000, but it's ok mate, you might aswell pay the extra" etc
Unless you want tabletop CD players look at the Denon DN-D4000 CD player and the Gemini FX7000 Mixer. £625 @ Djstore The Denon's just won best dual CD player so it cant be that bad...
The guy I used to do private parties with got some cheap separates for himself so we could do two gigs at once, they played cds alright but if you so much as breathed on the chatty fuckers it would jump like Skippy's arse on fire He was daft and went on the recommendation of the sales guy in the store - so deffo on the advice of try b4 buying.
Yeah mate they are instant. As in, you hit the play button and it starts the track from your assigned cue point.
