    Carl B

Just got his new tune 'Solitude', he makes some nice trance but the lack of any sort of bassline or even a kick drum in his tunes/remixes is shocking.

His tunes are about 90% melody, im not saying everyone should be knocking out Activa style b-lines though ive heard bassier stuff on songs of praise than some of his tunes.

    Anyone else noticed this??

Hes made some good stuff, liked his mix of Zonderland too, honestly though the lack of any bass or kick drum  :(

You mix his tunes in and it sounds like just a melody, can hardly hear any kick drum at all, his mix of 'Sail' is bad for that too.

Not hard to see why Armin loves him lol, he needs to grow some balls and play some bass

I like Carl B tunes. His mixes of Zonderland & Fusion 2006 are mint. I played Solitude as my closing track on Wednesday and I have to say I did have to whack the bass up full for it to mix well as I mixed it in from Shadow World. Not really a bad thing but I can see where you are coming from, he does tend to lack a thumping bassline.
