Breakbeat at Promise What are peoples thoughts on having breakbeat Djs at Promise? Or is that more of a Shindig sort of thing? Seems that a lot of the times I've been recently Djs have been playing some breakbeaty tracks but would anyone like a whole night? I'd love to see some breakbeat as I'm a big fan of Hybrid

The days of having any chance of break beat dj's have gone.... Used to have the like's Burridge and Zabeilia, who arnt out & out Break beat dj's, but do play alot of it in there sets. Especially zabeila who played the plump dj's tune in promise which was class
Great idea That is a very good idea indeed cos upstairs needs a bit of a boost. It's never very busy and to have breakbeat in there would be well good.
Hybrid played twice at Promise last year, although the music policy has now moved away from that direction. I went about April ish and they were absolutely superb that nite, and the club was quite busy. They played again about September time with John Creamer i think, and i missed that but i heard it was quite dead that time. I like the idea of putting that kind of thing in the always room.
It was my birthday the second time that Hybrid played Promise last year and although it was one of the best nights out I've ever had we had to wait until the last 10 minutes for any breakbeat. I'm a big fan of it myself.

LMAO, I do actually like Breakbeat!! Not as much as trance, but some of the crossover stuff is quality!! (JDS-Nine Ways (Plump DJs remix)) and got this w/l the other day: unknown-ray of light (JDS remix) got to practice the old body pop though!!
