Blunkett back in the labour party...

.... Labour win on the Thursday, and Blunkett is back on Downing street on the friday talking about a job, and then being interviewed by Frost and welcomed back on the sunday.

You couldnt make this shit up.

    HILARIOUS!

For anyone who isnt up to speed, this is the same guy who resigned a number of months back for 'greasing the wheels' to get his AU Pair a work permit quicker than it should have taken - essentially abusing a position of power.

Work and Pensions Minister too!

And in the papers this morning, the CBI (those totally unbiased rich bastards) release a report saying that we're basically gonna have to work until we die to fund the ever-growing gap in pensions.

In the report it says that 100 years ago, there were 10 workers to every person retired, compared with 2 workers to every person retired now. Hmm, maybe going daft but I'm sure that 100 years ago we had child labour, no welfare state, mass poverty (what we're heading towards now anyways) - and the CBI claim this is better?

Fuck this country - I am leaving first chance I fucking get.

Then NI shall be going up too.

Fucking fuckfucks - big fucking cheers to the arseholes that voted for Labour, all 37% of you :fuming:

I never thought i'd see the day where i honestly would go back to thinking that the tories could have ran this country better over the past 8 years..... despite becoming more liberal over the years, ive yet to see an amazing improvement in this country for the 50 BILLION, yes, 50 BILLION pounds that the government have waxed in the past few years and taken us from a 15 billion surplus to a 35 billion shortfall.

We are sufferring because the generation above us will live longer and 'we' aren't producing enough sprogs to get into work. Now we're going to have to keep the generation above us alive by us working longer.

This sounds really bad, but my Dad doesn't have to work (he got made redundant a year ago) but does a small part time job 'for something to do.' His gf is out of work. They are claiming her mortgage payments back because she lost her job and he is claiming everything he can get because he is over 60 yet has plenty of cash in the bank, no mortgage and doesn't work full time despite being perfectly healthy. AND WE'RE PAYING FOR IT:angry:

I appreciate all what he has done for me in the past (and there's a lot) but this is merely an example of whats going on out there.

your probably right, but it's not like they increase taxes so they can go out on the piss, it's so that can fund hospitals, build new roads, pay pensions, obviously I understand that they probably don't use the money in the best way they could all the time, but I reckon most of it goes where it's needed.

I cant believe the levels of apathy that some people have these days. Talk about lambs to the f**king slaughter!!!!!!!!!

No offence, but it seems like the people who say they dont care about tax are the ones who ARENT PAYING IT!

Xanda, there was a time a few decades ago where you could work hard, spend a bit of money, not live recklessly and actually have something to show for it at the end of the day ....... for instance a family could have one person working and another person at home and still afford to run a mortgage and provide for a family.

These days... no bloody way, its like rent a life where two people have to work their balls off to cover council tax, this tax, that tax.... put petrol in their car.... howay man yeah some kind of taxation is an inevitability but does it REALLY have to be this bad - NO!!!!!!!

Yeah I understand what your saying but I think the reason why people need two incomes, is because every one wants two cars, widescreen TV, broadband internet, designer clothes, to go out on the lash every weekend, to go on expensive holidays. Not because taxes have gone up.

i feel for families nowadays... my parents generation only 1 parent had to work - Now, both HAVE to go to work just to sustain things... i know this from experience...

olden days it was families that looked after the children - now the grandparents have to work to supplement their pensions!!

Yeah but I bet the wages are higher to begin with to allow for this.

I think all those celebs/footballers should pay more tax, yeah they're talented but they can afford to lose half their wages and STILL live the life of riley!! (who was riley by the way was he living under a tory government??)

Tis shocking this country, how come other countries can manage without taxing the arse off everyone, fuel and baccy etc?? And how come we have to pay twice as much for consumer goods and cars? Not like we're all earning over 100k to afford it? :spangled: :spangled:

We're paying higher taxes to fund private companies to run our services, so our tax goes to profits and in the pockets of the rich.

Makes you fucking love this shithole.
