Badgers During a lovey ramble I have happened apon a huge Badger Sett (bout 20-30 entrances). Iv never seen a real badger sett before in my life it was kinda eirey. The size of the holes and the scratchs on the trees around it where made by some fucking powerful beasties thats for sure. Has anyone ever seen a badger up close or found a sett before? I really want to go up and camp and watch the sett after Dusk when they come out apparently they spend loads of time just mucking about so would be nice to watch. Things that concern me are 1) Would they eat me 2) Could I get in trouble for disturbing the sett 3) Do you think setts are observed or maybe cameraed up cos they have protection orders on them?
if they dont see then they will be ok , just take some drugs , a flask of tea and sit / hide / and wait - totaly legal just dont take a dog / shotgun / or traps took the staff out 4 a walk once , thought the other dog was next to me , twos not , it was a badger , good job the staff didnt see it , wud have been kicked to fuck , nasty piece of work badgers if they wont to be. not to be mistaken with the other black and white animal , the skunk
they are about 12 kilos in weight and upto a dozen males live in the setts lucky my dog wasnt with me or he'd be hairy bloodclots by now
