If you didn't go to Butlers you wont understand maybe you couldn't get in as it was always full to capacity by 10:30pm every night it was open in its heyday with ques around the block. It nearly got closed down for overcrowding a few times. It was a shit hole but we loved it.

I went to bulters in this period and it was horrid some early rave stuff that got played at the venue when Hardy was on, but other than that it was a grotty hole that let underage kids in to get pissed. I first went at 16 and can remember 15 year old lasses from my school being there.

Seems like a strange moment in time to recreate as the music it played was hardly seminal just a mish mash of the popular/Commercial Rave and Dance music out at the time.

God knows how they are giving soviet a butlers feel maybe by smashing the bogs, letting in 15 year olds, wacking the smoke machine on and playing ultrasonic.
