    Another Metro strike

From 7pm friday to Sunday morning
    then
    Sunday 7pm to Tuesday morning

Both friday and saturday nights when loads of people go drinking. Bet it causes more drink-driving

Agreed. Its a bit of a daft time to strike really.

Or the most effective time to strike, depending on how you look at it.

No metro is still no excuse for drink-driving anyway.

This is true. The strike will obviously be effective. I'm dead against drink driving, one of my friends had a bad accident a few years back

    not a metro strile?

surely striles were outlawed when the gypsies invaded poland??

if this is true i have to drive my granda to the airport! how the fuck do you get there???:(

a couple of my mates were in a taxi going from town to gateshead the other week when a car came flying out of nowhere and smashed them off the road. The driver of the other car then got out and tried to stagger away, pissed a s fuck. Luckily both my mates were wearing seatbelts though. I never wear a seatbelt in a taxi, stupid really.

Sunderland's FA Cup tie against Sheff Utd was another factor in them holding the strike when they are - the metro system is heavily used on matchdays....

Greedy twats - shud sack the lot of em

Why are they actually striking? Pay rise? From what to what?

Thats bad crack m8, I hope your mates are ok. I always wear a seatbelt wherever I travel. Its just second nature now after breaking 5 ribs in a car crash.
