I'm pretty sure you've all watched it but I just viewed it for the first time :dunce: after watching countless 911 conspiracy documentaries - this has to be my favourite :)

i saw one a few months back, some of the evidence was very persuasive. i dunno wot to think, bush is a twat, but i dont know if he would go that far for a bit of oil......or would he

cheap oil's running out fast, they need Iraq's online in a hurry... crude oil has trebled in price in the last few years, and will never get back to $25 a barrel

They need to get oil and gas out of the Caspian area, Afghanistan is the best route

politically it meant they could do what the fuck they wanted in the global "war against terror"

They need a new enemy for the permanent war now that the cold war is won, Bin Laden/Al Queda fits the bill perfectly

    you do the math

Very interesting and very well put together.

I like how the majority of the narration is stating of facts - leaves you to do the thinking.

not watched the link yet but from what i've been taught there are massive supplies of oil and gas under alaska and also other states like texas... these are commercially viable but the usa is happy to use the worlds oil until it runs dry leaving itself able to hold the world to ransom in the future...

possible reason for our close stance with america + we still have a fair amount of coal left for a rainy day... cheers maggie ;)

    don't hold your breath

you're talking crap dad, where did you get that load of baloney from... you really think the US wants their economy reliant on energy supplies from unstable countries if they had loads under their own soil? :spangled:

well they certainly do have oil under alaska and texas.

scruf and i were taught it at university by a lecturer who specialises in energy and is also a local council representative, im not saying its right as im often dubious about these conspiracies, but its what we were taught by a guy with a lot of background and sway.

Pentagon - very strong arguement there that it wasn't a plane

    flight 93 - we'll never know!

2 towers - demo charges being set off - a good arguement for that too

Reason behind it - power and money - 160 BILLION in gold?!?! but only 200 million recovered?

it's one of those plausible arguements - it wouldn't take much to blow up a couple of buildings right under peoples noses, with a small team working on it, nick a few planes, re-route them, get a couple of spares to fly into it. seal off the area, dispose of the evidence. it's not a big leap!

i almost WISH it was true - but they do say fact is is more often weirder than fiction!

yeah I know that, but they're drilling it and using it as fast as they can refine it.... US production peaked in 1970... its daft to to say they're buying middle east instead of using their own so they can deplete world supplies and "hold it to ransom"

all i know is that there are still vast supplies of oil and natural gas on american soil...

yet the us has recently invaded 2 nations that are essential for oil supplies in the middle east while the uk remains a close ally.

i never said once it was my opinion, i was just putting a slant forward... but as bush, rumsfeld etc all have backgrounds and close ties in the oil industry i dont think it is that far fetched.

besides the world needs to wake up and abandon fossil fuels for cleaner energy and become a lot more efficient otherwise in the not too distant future we will be in the firing line.

just wrong! They have about 22 billion barrels of stated crude oil reserves, they produce about 3bn barrels a year and consume about 8bn barrels a day, and that's 2002 figs

I agree with your last sentence though, otherwise we're fucked

as i said im often dubious about these theories, however convincing they appear... its still interesting to thrash them out though. im sure i have notes etc from the lectures but as with most of my older uni stuff they will be impossible to locate in my hoards of junk  might see if the lecturer can go into more detail next time im in.

efficiency drives me crazy... the little things we could do to change the direction the planets going in if only we actually knew what could potentially happen, not to our children but us. even things as tiny as not leaving things on standby which accounts for a massive amount of energy usage.

i shit you not there are houses in sweden that are so well built and insulated that they can be very comfortably heated (even in swedens very cold winters) by body heat and lighting... they have south facing windows to maximise the suns influence... while we fritter £££££££ on central heating and the like.

also if governments told big car companies that they had to run their cars on clean energy or they wouldnt be allowed to sell them, would they go out of business? would they fuck... they'd have boffins working to find ways of running cleaner cars and have them on the market, its possible but theres no pressure to do so.

    slightly off topic tho
