2day well its a gud start 2 what looks like a nice day and by good start i mean i havent hit me toe of teh side of the door or anything like that going 2 meet my gaffa this morning to talk about work, about hours and wages 2 things i hate talking to him about, i dont know what i want its up 2 him, i dont wanna make demands or anything like that and i dont wanna be on totally shite pay either but 2 scared 2 ask for more incase he thinks im bleeding him dry
have a look at other companies where you could do the same job see how much you coudl get working with them and jsut tell your boss well if i left i could get x amount which doesn't look like youre being too greedy
Jimi if you think you deserve a payrise then tell him if your working hard then the pay has to show that what i would do which is what the guys at my work chat to me about during appraisals is set an hourly rate which you would like to be paid if the boss doesnt like this rate then come to an agreement i.e over a set period of time you want to be paid this amount dont let him take advantage be firm and agree to meet him half way if he wont agree up your wages then tell him youll have to look elsewhere
he'll be trying to pay you as little as he can get away with. nowt to do with wether he's an ok guy or not ,it's just business. If you don't say anything he will think you are happy with it. Natalie is right you need to find out what others like you get and say you like working there but you know you could get x amount if you worked elsewhere. he will only give you more if he seriously thinks you might just leave. if the amount you want is not so large then it's easier to give you it rather than have all the hassle of finding someone else.
Back home now but got loads to do servicing my beemer at the moment thank god its dry today pete if youve got nowt to do you can come and help

nope backed down! he is paying a certain amount but its 8.15 to 12 then 12.30 to 4.30 not even paying for me fucking dinner break, its pennys what he is paying an extra £5 a week from me apprentaship pay, i liek working with him and wont talk abotu cash with him coz he will never let it drop
Well then just get the experience then piss off somewhere else for trebble the pay ! As long as your happy mate and your getting enough money to see you allright, then its ok but never be afraid to ask for more money . Just as long as your not doing it all the time !
wait till your apprenticeships done then apply for joiners jobs on the sly, theres a few on the jobcentre website that pay about 10-12 an hour mate. then if you get the new jobs just say its matching pay or am offskies
