    When straightening your hair, if u straighten hardened gel does it damage your hair... I know it singes your hair if its still damp - but this is completely dry...

    answers ona postcard please

    im not sure about hair gel, but one of my mates put loads of hair spray on her hair then straightened it and she singed all her hair and had to get most of it chopped off.

    i wouldnt of thought it would straighten your hair anyways with gel on, just try a little bit and see what happens first.

    My hairs got a life of its own, after about an hour or so it starts losing its shape... hwoever a few times I've waited for the gel to harden then combed it out (so theres only a little in)then when i straighten it - it goes deadly straight and holds its shape for ages.

    I can't put the stuff in after I've straightened it cos as soon as it gets even a tiny bit damp (say wax) it goes curlyish.

    how long is your hair btw??

    i aint sure but i think you can buy special straightning products from boots etc :D

    Got them all unfortunatly when I go out clubbing it loses its shape (got straighteners, had my hair relaxed, got anti friz serums - they don't work on my hair).

    I've tried tigi, l;oreal, fish fudge, boots brand, dax, wella, brylcream, to name a few.... 2 wet for my hair :(

    i know, when you have done you hair spray lashings of good hairspray on, and you can get tiny little bottles which you could take out with you as well:D
